Shellac is the EU-approved food additive E904 — the glazing agent behind the shine on chocolate dragées, sugar-panned candy, coated nuts and fresh citrus. Our dewaxed blonde shellac is the preferred grade for food work: light colour, wax below 0.2%, and a certificate of analysis from a NABL-accredited laboratory with every batch.
